NADIA TROBISCH QUARTET
This project uses the language of jazz as a way to explore folklore and roots. Through original compositions and arrangements, the quartet creates a space where improvisation and the emotional depth of Afro-Peruvian, Creole, and Cuban rhythms coexist.
Nadia Trobisch, an Austrian-Andalusian singer-songwriter, weaves songs that narrate personal experiences, universal emotions, and shared roots.
Her intimate and expressive voice meets jazz and Latin American folklore in a profound and sensitive dialogue. Together with Brian Aching (guitar), whose sound connects jazz with Afro-Peruvian music; José Raúl Machado (double bass), with classical Cuban training and extensive popular music experience; and Rony Aching (percussion), with a rhythmic foundation rooted in traditional music, they construct a sonic universe that crosses continents and connects hearts.
